Visiting Crate and Barrel with head of store design Jay Burkhardt

We had coffee and discussed the philosophy and history of merchandising at Crate and Barrel.

Jay showed us directives and then how they were implemented in the store.

Jay plans all fixturing for new stores, along with designing the fixtures and working closely with Marimekko, choosing colors seasonally.
